Because spend-based factors are published against a price year, Gaia adjusts your spend figures for inflation to that price year using CPI data, in line with GHG Protocol Scope 3 guidance, with every adjustment recorded and auditable.

The transactions from Xero are multiplied by the DEFRA conversion factors to calculate the carbon emissions. All emissions calculation are fully auditable in Gaia with the method of calculation for every emission visible.
